Welcome to Vox In Frox
Vox in Frox is an all-female chamber choir based in the Chew Valley, near Bath. We are a group of women who get so much joy and friendship from singing together that we felt it would be selfish to keep it all to ourselves! Read on, and learn all about who we are and what we do....
Vox in Frox was supposed to be doing a concert on 25th April but this was cancelled.
To save ourselves from withdrawal symptoms we got "together" with our friends Bristol Brass Consort and Claire Alsop to make performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water and this had it's world premiere on Youtube on Monday 27th April. We always raise money for charity at our concerts and this time it was meant to be the wonderful Bristol charity Mothers for Mothers who support new families struggling with maternal mental illness. I can't imagine what it would be like to have a new baby at the moment. No contact with friends or family. So to save them missing out we are passing the virtual hat round. If you would like to make a donation please follow the link go to our local giving page:
When you're weary, feeling small.
When tears are in your eyes I will dry them all.
I'm on your side when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down.
If you've already seen Vox in Frox at St Bernadette's, Whitchurch, you need to see them again in the Church of St Francis, Nailsea - similar architecture and acoustic. This is a fundraiser concert in aid of Parkinson's UK. The concert will start at 19h30 and tickets will be available shortly via the Eventbrite website. More details to follow.
This concert has now been postponed because of the Coronavirus lockdown.
Our very own Rhiannon Lampard is marrying her lovely fiancé Matt Woods in Prior Park Chapel. We're so excited to be invited to sing on this wonderful day.
